for minds that wont stand still

A RAISON D'ETRE

As Samuel Johnson aptly stated, "Curiosity is one of the most permanent and certain characteristics of a vigorous intellect." And for the most active intellects, curiosity is never confined to one domain only.  This site is dedicated to the principle that mental agility is reinforced by exercise, and that exercise occurs through wondering, asking, questions, exploring, and gathering views and information in countless disparate ways, and as many disparate aspects of the worlds that exist within and outside ourselves. The more often you wonder about things you haven't learned yet, the better. That is the premise of this admittedly eclectic array of facts, ideas, and perspectives -- musical, artistic, poetic, and spiritual as well as intellectual and scientific. To borrow an aphorism, use it or lose it.
